Today, Dr. Rivera shared with us a presentation about Differentiating Instruction for Pacific Island Students. Guam has so many diversity, and by having differentiated instruction is great! All students learn at a different level, so differentiated instruction is a great way for students learn because we are able to create lesson plans to fit their need. Also, we shared which differentiated instructions will be helpful in our action plan research. Since, I am focusing on improving reading comprehension and some strategies and skills that might be helpful, I found that Picture Prompt, Punctuated Lectures and Think-Pair-Share will be very useful when doing my action research. It was great to read more about differentiated instruction and learn more about it.
This course brings teacher candidates to work collaboratively on strategies to solve classroom problems via the action research methodology.
